Dozens of Starving Dogs Rescued From Twin Cities Home
The Animal Humane Society says the dogs were found starving and competing for food.
Investigators rescued 26 dogs, some of them puppies, as well as 2 cats from a Twin Cities home, in January.
The Animal Humane Society says they roamed freely in the home and that the family voluntarily surrendered them.
Many of the animals were emaciated.
While some have already found new homes, others are being fostered until they gain enough weight to be adopted. That should happen in the next couple of weeks.
